History
Le Château Mirador a été construit vers 1860 par une famille espagnole riche et a servi comme une tour de guet sur la compagne environnante. Il existe peu d’information sur le château jusqu’à la fin du 19e siècle même s’il parait tomber en ruine sur des vieilles cartes postales françaises datant du début du 20e siècle.
Le château est resté ainsi jusqu’aux années soixante quand il a été racheté et transformé en maison. Il a changé à nouveau de propriétaire quelque part au cours des 40 années suivantes et a été transformé en trois appartements individuels, puis quatre au début des années 2000.
L’intérieur du château a malheureusement été détérioré au cours de ces différentes conversions, laissant seulement quelques aspects de son décor original.

Built around 1860 by a wealthy Spanish family, Chateau Mirador stood as the lookout over the surrounding countryside. The details up to the late 19th century are a little sketchy, but from old French postcards the property fell into disrepair by the early 20th century.
This remained the case until around 1960 where the chateau was purchased and again became a home. At some point in the next 40 years the property changed hands and was changed into three individual apartments, becoming four in early 2000.
Unfortunately, during these conversions much of the buildings interior character was lost, with only glimpses of what the original interior decor may have looked like.
